I was recently in the country of Peru on a mission trip when the Lord began to speak to me about the riches we have within and how we can reach into this depository of His glory. As I was speaking to a church there the Lord began to give me revelation about the great oil deposits that are in the earth. Back in the early 1800’s if black oil was on your property it was considered a curse because you could not grow anything on that land. But one day they figured out how to harness the power of oil and it changed the world! The oil had been there for thousands of years yet no one seemed to know what to do with it.

The church of Jesus Christ is in the same predicament, there is enough power within one Christian to raise the dead and heal all the multitudes and to defeat any army, yet we seem to struggle to heal even a headache.

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you.” Rom 8:11 (NAS)

The very same Spirit of power that raised Jesus from the dead is in us! God has already made the deposit in us, now we must learn how to tap into the power source of the universe -His life! Just as God put the oil in the ground to power our modern society, and bringing us out of the horse and buggy days, He will now do this for His church. The church, the bride, the sons of God will lead the people of the earth into the greatest prosperity the world has ever known.

When we look at modern society today we cannot help but to be amazed at how things have change in little over one hundred years. We went from the horse and buggy to the moon in one generation with computers running all of society. How has this happened? God told Daniel that “…Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” 12:4 (KJV). We are now living in that time prophesied! Yet it was not until after the Pentecostal outpouring that came in 1900 did all this new technology come forth. The outpouring of God in the earth brings great prosperity to the inhabitances of the earth. Why? Because people turn from sin to serve a living God and He releases new and witty inventions that change the world. America did not become the greatest nation because we were better or smarter than any other nation, but because our forefathers sought God, He blessed them and us.

What I see coming very soon to earth will transform the world and the people on it with such magnitude that the church and the world will not know what hit them at first. God’s presence and power is about to be manifested through His many son’s with much greater power than Jesus had when He walked the earth as a man. But this time He will be seen by all people through His thousands of son’s doing the works of God from all walks of life. The earth and its inhabitances will see a great light and be transformed in the great reformation the Bible has promised.

When we were in Peru we went into the Andes Mountains and one-day my wife says to me, “These Mountain’s are beautiful!” I said yes, but I wonder what is on the inside of them? Years ago the Spanish came to Peru looking for gold and not finding much, yet today gold is the largest export of the nation. What changed from then to now? The gold was always there in the mountains, yet they did not know how to get it out! We the church have the same problem, we must know how to release the gold that is within. By gold I mean, the nature of God, His holiness, righteousness, and power to change the world.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves. 2 Cor 4:7 (NAS)

We have the treasure of God’s light and glory in us because Jesus dwells in us; He Himself is the exact expression of the Father’s glory. Can you imagine when the day comes and the glory of Jesus is revealed through thousands of people around the earth? The world and all the works of darkness will not prevail against the church one iota! It will be like any given day that we wake up, the sun comes up in the morning and the darkness goes away. Oh what a day it will be when Jesus they will see in all His sons of glory throughout the earth. Truly the earth will shine with the glory of the Lord and all of mankind will be set free from the bondage of sin and death into the liberty of the son’s of God.

For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. -- That the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Rom 8:19, 21 (NAS)

What these verses speak to me is this. Just as Jesus was on the Mount of Transfiguration and His Excellent glory was seen brighter than the noonday sun by His three disciples. They did not know what to say or do but were changed from that day forward never to be the same. This will again happen in our day when His glory is manifested through His people.

"Arise, shine; for your light has come,

And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you.

"For behold, darkness will cover the earth,

And deep darkness the peoples;

But the LORD will rise upon you,

And His glory will appear upon you.

"And nations will come to your light,

And kings to the brightness of your rising.

Isa 60:1-3 (NAS)

God will not keep the treasure of His glory hidden forever in His people, but one day soon He will show forth His glory for all the earth to marvel at what He has done in His people. (See 2 Thess 1:10). Hollywood has tried to make movies that portray supernatural powers through good and evil characters, but they have paled in comparison to the power God is about to display through His people. Complete nations are about to turn to the Lord because of His great displays of love.

…The temple is not for man, but for the LORD God. Now with all my ability I have provided for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of silver, and the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and inlaid stones, stones of antimony, and stones of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones, and alabaster in abundance. And moreover, in my delight in the house of my God, the treasure I have of gold and silver, I give to the house of my God, over and above all that I have already provided for the holy temple. 1 Chron 29:1-3 (NAS)

David gave his all, his whole life savings to build the natural temple of the Lord in Jerusalem. He so loved the presence of the Lord that he wanted to build a temple that would be worthy to receive the ark of God’s presence. So he prepared an abundance of gold, silver, and precious stones to build the temple out of the best materials.

When I read this I said to the Lord, “David used the very best of everything to build the temple!” The Lord responded, “So did I!” I quickly got His message as to us, our body, the temple of the living God not made with hands. Jesus said to His disciples, “I go prepare a place for you!” If David prepared hard and long for the temple of God’s glory out of earthly natural things, which are here one day and gone the next. How much better do you think the things that Jesus has built for us far exceeds anything we can ask or think of and will last forever?

God is the treasure that is within us! Him and Him alone could only make a place within us that is worthy for the King. Gold represents the nature of God that is nontarnishable and is very rare and costly. That is what we possess on the inside because Jesus the King lives in our heart. Silver represents redemption because it was the price paid for Joseph and Jesus and it was also throughout Moses’ tabernacle as was the gold where God’s presence dwelt. The precious stones represented all the tribes of Israel that the High Priest had on the breastplate who are a great treasure to God. These great jewels were also on the inside of the temple as they are on the inside of every believer. They represent the truths and revelation of God’s word that we carry within ourselves. The more we see and understand the experiential truths of God’s word the more we will be like Him!

People want to show off their riches by wearing gold and jewels to attract attention unto themselves, but God hides His treasures in the inner man. The treasures that David gathered were all but symbolic of the majesty of God’s glory and how He wants us to be like God. This is why Paul wrote, “Now if any man builds upon the foundation (Jesus) with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it, because it is to be revealed with fire; and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work” 1 Cor 3:12-13 (NAS). In other words the trails of our life will prove what we are made of! Do our tribulations cause us to back away from seeking the face of God or do we push into more of God when we go through our trials?

If we are using earthly corruptible things like wood, (religion) hay (philosophy), and straw (humanism) that only last for a short while and leaves us empty at the end of our life. This will all be burned up at our judgment in the presence of our God but if we are building our lives on the truth that is in Jesus we will have substance. Having built our life, family, church on the nature of God, which is the gold, silver, and precious stones that have all been created through fire and can only be purified more by going through the fire. Jesus told us in Matthew chapter 7 that we must be built on solid ground, which is the truth of who He is or we would suffer the loss of all things.

So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. Matt 19:28-29 (NKJV)

This is the greatest and most magnificent promise in all of Scripture that has been given to every believer if we will understand it and believe Him to bring it to pass in our life. What Jesus is saying to us is this, “When we’ve been born again and have become His disciple by following Him we will sit on His throne as qualified overcomers in His likeness.” (See Rev 3:21). He will repay us many times over for any troubles we have gone through for His glory. Because it is the very thing we go through while following Him that makes us into His image and qualifies us.

This is the most magnificent promise in all of the Bible, “And shall inherit eternal life!” As we first read these words most of us go back to our religious training and say, “Oh I know that, what’s the big deal?” The religious church has taught us to think of eternal life as time that goes on and on. It is true that when we receive Jesus we will never die but that in it self is not eternal life. Eternal life is the essence of who God is –His nature.

"And this is eternal life, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent”. John 17:3 (NAS)

God Himself is eternal life, which means that He alone is the power plant of the universe and He wants to share that power and glory with His body, the joint heirs, and bride of Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 28, “All authority has have been given unto Me in heaven and earth. Go therefore…” Why should we go? Because He is the power plant of the universe and He lives in us, therefore we are to go forth with His power and authority because God in us is our inheritance to give to others! It’s not some mansion in the sky somewhere, but God alone. …"Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward." Gen 15:1 (NKJV)

Then the Lord said to Aaron: "You shall have no inheritance in their land, nor shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel.” Num 18:20 (NKJV)

The overcomer’s inheritance is to be shares of God’s divine nature –His love. The power of God is found in His love, which is the fuel that powers His burning passion for His bride.

I was making breakfast one morning and I heard the Lord say, “Our inheritance is God, we are not waiting to receive one, we have Him in our heart. And if we do not want to spend time with our inheritance here and now we will not have His fullness when we go to be with Him later.”

The Webster’s dictionary says inheritance means to: “Come into possession of divine portion.” As Christian’s do we understand what God is promising us if we will faithfully follow Him? I don’t think we do, because if we did we would quickly leave anything and everything like the disciples did to follow the Lord. God is offering us everything that He is and all that He has for eternity if we will seek Him daily with all of our heart.

As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:3-4 (NKJV)

When we stand before Him on our judgment day we will have no excuses. We will not be able to say, “But God!” You didn’t do this for me; you did not give me this or that so that I could make it through the trials of my life. The Father has given us all things, His word, the Holy Spirit, and the revelation of His Son to help us make it through whatever comes through the enemies’ gates. The only excuse we will have is, “I was a lazy servant please forgive me by the blood of the cross.” Even then we will lose out on our closeness to Jesus on the throne but our soul will be saved.

I would not wish this upon any believer to miss out on their high calling. I pray for those who are reading this, that we all would follow Jesus with all our hearts wherever He goes because we love Him and want to be close to Him at all times. Grant this I pray Lord!

How blessed is the man who perseveres through temptation! For after he has passed the test, he will receive as his crown the Life which God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12-13 (CJB)

When Peter said that we would be partakers of God’s divine nature, what did he exactly mean? We are sharers in the likeness and glory of God’s goodness. There are no human words that could describe what God has for all those who will love Him with all their hearts. Yet John the apostle tried to give us some understanding into what he was seeing from his vantage point in the spirit.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:1-2 (KJV)

We shall be like Him! Wow! How could that be even possible that mer mortals could be like God? God now calls us sons, which means that He sees us Christlike now because He calls those things, which do not exist as though they did. What manner of love is this that God would bestow upon us such a destiny and calling? As son’s of God everything that He is and everything that He has will be given to us because He owns it all. Everything we see with our eyes is Gods; everything we do not see is God’s because He created it out of Himself! The people of the world and the church might think that what they have is theirs, lands, homes, buildings, and bank accounts. But the truth of the matter is, they are only stewards of it, its only theirs until they die then it becomes someone else’s property generation after generation. Most people do not realize that they will have to give account to what they did with what they had. We learn this from the parable of the five talents given to those who doubled what was given and how the others squandered the gifts given to them.

So if you haven’t been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who is going to trust you with the real thing? And if you haven’t been trustworthy with what belongs to someone else, who will give you what ought to belong to you? Luke 16:11-12 CJB

We must realize that now is not the time to build personal worldly wealth because we cannot keep it! So why even search for it? It is pure foolishness! As Jim Elliot said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” If we chose to live for the truth that is in Jesus Christ we gain everything, never to lose it! When we give our heart to Jesus and He comes in we have now become the wealthiest people in the universe. Because in Him is all true wealth, all wisdom, all knowledge, and all power. All we have to do is uncover the glories that He has deposited within us by spending time with Him daily. “Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become foolish that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. “…

The world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.” 1 Cor 3:18-19, 22-23 (NAS)
