GREATER GLORY RESERVED FOR YOU
By Dan Luehrs
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance
which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven
for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:3-5 (NASU)
There is a full salvation coming to the people of God in
these last times that we are living in, which the church knows little of and is
unprepared to receive it by faith because so little has been taught on it. This
is a complete deliverance from all sin and death that the Bible promises us,
all we have to do is lay claim to it as our own by faith. Just as when we were
saved by faith through the blood of Jesus, when He was presented to us and we received
Him in our heart so that we were born again. Then when we heard of the baptism
of the Holy Spirit we received Him by faith and were filled with the power of
God. But that is not all of what God has for us! According to Peter we should
be looking for and having faith for a full deliverance from our fleshly nature
and to be changed into the likeness of Jesus.
Peter says that we are to have a living hope for this change
to take place in us just as when we were born again.
HOPE THAT IS ALIVE
Biblical hope means to eagerly expect it to happen to you. Peter
goes even farther than that, he says that hope is to be alive in us! Let me ask
you, is there a living expectation in you to receive God’s full deliverance
from this body of death? If yes, great news, but if no, ask the Father to give
you the revelation of these glorious truths so that you do not miss out on what
He has for you in the times that we are living in. For now is the time to
receive this! Some Christians just think it is going to happen to them like
magic or something without them even having to apply their faith to receive it.
But let me ask you, how would that have worked for salvation and the baptism of
the Holy Spirit for you? We could not have received salvation unless we were
told of it, nor could we have received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The full
deliverance that we are speaking of is also called, the revealing of the sons
of God. The Father is about to show the church and the world His hidden ones
that He has been preparing since the beginning of time through His Son, Jesus. They
will now come forth in His likeness, power, and glory.
This is our inheritance, it has been hidden away for us to
claim as our own, for this is the hidden mystery that God has hidden away from
the professing religious people and intellectuals. They may think that they can
figure it all out, but they are totally unprepared for what God is about to do
in the earth. God is about to shock and awe the nations with His glory through
His people!
Jesus is the world’s hope and great expectation, yet because
of His great love He has chosen to reveal or unveil Himself through the manifest
sons of God.
For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time [are]
not worthy [to be compared] with the glory about to be revealed in us; for the earnest
looking out of the creation doth expect the revelation of the sons of God; for
to vanity was the creation made subject — not of its will, but because of Him
who did subject [it] — in hope, that also the creation itself shall be set free
from the servitude of the corruption to the liberty of the glory of the
children of God. Rom 8:18-21 (YLT)
This is the hope and expectation of God that creation be set
free from all sin and death through the unveiling of the sons of God. What this
means to me is, God has chosen a few people, young and old before the beginning
of time that He is first going to set free from all bondage of sin and death.
Then when they have been fully prepared with grace and glory He will release
these hidden ones into the earth to first deliver mankind and then all of
creation into the fullness of His glory.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE THE FULLNESS OF
GLORY?
So that the proof of your faith, being more precious than
gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in
praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:7 (NASU)
When will we be able to receive this greater glory? When God
sees that we are ready to handle the weightiness of His glory, otherwise it
will crush us, but if He has prepared us through our trials we can have
confidence that we have the grace to carry the glory. It’s when we have paid
the price to follow the Lamb wherever He goes and have received the gold of His
character having been tried by fire. Our trials that are so difficult will
result in praise, glory, and honor! These trials that we go through have been allowed
by God to conform us into the image of His Son, which is the likeness of God.
Our trials are to be celebrated rather than being shunned because God has
chosen us to sit on His throne of power with Him. Now that is saying a lot!
WE ARE PROTECTED
…Which inheritance has been laid up and is now kept guarded
in safe deposit in heaven for you who are constantly being kept guarded by the
power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in a last
season which is epochal and strategic in its significance. 1 Peter 1:4-5
(Translation by Kenneth S. Wuest)
When we are ready for our full inheritance God will give it
to us here and now, but because we are not ready for it, He protects us from it,
until the time we are. It would be like giving a teenager a one million dollar
inheritance and telling him not to waist it or it’s like giving him a racing
car for his sixteenth birthday! We all know that very few grownups could handle
that kind of money and power, let alone some young person. God has the right
timing for us, it is strategic and significant in God’s kairos timing.
I believe when Peter says that this full salvation and
deliverance is for the LAST TIME, he was not just talking about the end of the
church age, but when the full maturity of the believer is coming into the last
stages of growing into the likeness of Jesus. It is much like a person growing
from childhood into adulthood. Years of life on earth do not mature us, some
young person can be more mature than a much older person. No, true maturity is
measured by our likeness to Jesus and no one else. Over and over Peter speaks
about the grace that is going to come to us at the unveiling of Jesus.
Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in
spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the
revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:13 (NASU)
Grace is the power and provision from God to be made into the
likeness of Jesus, because we cannot do it on our own, it has to be the power
of the Holy Spirit that makes us into His image and not our strength or wisdom.
This is, a now word for us, having the full unveiling of Jesus will mature us like
nothing else will. Every move of God that I have been part of has left a
deposit in me of more of God, this “last time” outpouring will catch us up to
where we need to be in the glory to manifest His likeness to the world.
God’s glory already fills us because we have Jesus in our
heart, He is the fullness of the Fathers glory! So what we are waiting for is
already in the Spirit of God and is reserved just for us as was salvation and the
baptism of the Holy Spirit, which God had given to us when we asked for them.
But the fullness of God is a little different, this comes through knowing God’s
character through our trials and tribulations.
Let me give you an example of maturity. When you go through
suffering of any type do you get mad at God and accuse Him of wrong doing? This
proves that we are not ready for the greater glory. Do you see, if we are not
like Him we will use the greater glory to hurt others rather than to help
them. Our reaction to suffering should
be to praise the Lord in the midst of it because He is working His nature in us,
our trials are the fire of God working in us! “Consider it all joy, my
brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your
faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that
you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4 (NASU) And
may I add, READY AND PREPARED FOR GLORY!
We rejoice in the receiving of greater glory, but it is when
we can truly rejoice in our heart that God has entrusted us with trials to
prepare us for glory. Suffering is for our good, not bad. “In this you greatly
rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been
distressed by various trials.” 1 Peter 1:6 (NASU). Are you seeing this, IF
NECESSARY, that we are troubled by trials? Please hear me, it is necessary that
we all have trials because we are all born into sin and rebellion and only
going through hard things seems to prepare us for the glory that we are to to
carry into the last battle, which is now upon us. We cannot make it through
without carrying God’s glory to aid us and protect us in battle.
WE ARE CARRIERS OF HIS GLORY
"I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be
one as we are one.” John 17:22 (NLT)
We the church are now the carriers of the Fathers glory.
Meaning, we carry all the fullness of God within just as the manifest presence
of God was on the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies. We will manifest
that same glory in the earth as God did with Israel in the wilderness and in
Solomon’s Temple. We are the third and last temple that God will ever construct
to reveal His glory!
Until the time of His manifest presence through us He will be
working in us, to strengthening us in our trials. The fact is, we will not make
it through them without His presence and in the process of our trial being changed
into His image as we are going through it.
There is enough power within one believer to change the world
and universe around them. Jesus said the power within Him could move mountains!
Do you have any mountains that need moving? You have the right amount of dynamite
to change things in prayer. Peter knew of this glory within himself. “The
elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the
sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed.”
1 Peter 5:1 (NKJV). Do you see how Peter says that he already is a partaker or
a sharer in the glory that is going to be unveiled. The glory is already in us,
it just needs to be unveiled in God’s kairos time, which is now upon us.
And these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom
He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.
Rom 8:30 (NASU)
Are you called of God, meaning, are you saved? Are justified by
the blood of Jesus, meaning, do you know that all your sin is washed away from
the time of birth to your death? Your answer should be a big YES! So then we
must know that we are also glorified in Christ Jesus. Meaning, we are carriers
of His glory now and not just when we get to heaven someday.
The Lord gave me this word,
“The past and the future now converge at the
crossroads. That which has been spoken will now come to pass. For now is the
time of My outpouring when the fire of God will fall, there will be awe, shock,
and wonder at what I am doing. Know that you have been prepared for this day of
the manifest sons of God. Know that the enemy has tried to hinder and stop what
I am about to do, but he cannot stop it, nothing can. For the birthing of the
manifest sons of God will now come forth in glorious fire that will change this
city and the nation around it. For now is the time, do not get discouraged for
I am with you in the fight. Be ready, be prepared!”
Now
is not the time to be discouraged, but be encouraged because our Lord is about to
march forward with His army to destroy all the works of the enemy and to
establish His kingdom in us, His body and then the world. Prepare for battle!!
GROANING AND SUFFERING IN HOPE
We
know that until now, the whole creation has been groaning as with the pains of
childbirth; and not only it, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the
Spirit, groan inwardly as we continue waiting eagerly to be made sons — that
is, to have our whole bodies redeemed and set free. Rom 8:22-23 (CJB)
Every
pain that we suffer spiritually, emotionally, and physically is a groaning
within us that is crying out for full deliverance of this body of sin and death.
The whole of creation is suffering and is crying out to be freed from this
present death that we live in and around. Death and sin is not of God, He did
not create it, but Adam chose it over the life and freedom of God. The Father
has allowed creation to suffer and groan in hope or expectation of the day when
the sons of God would mature and manifest the likeness of Jesus to set the
world free into God’s glory even as they have been set free. This day is now
upon us!
For
in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes
for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with
perseverance we wait eagerly for it. Rom 8:24-25 (NASU)
We
have been saved in hope or expectation to see full deliverance of our sinful
nature, and not just we ourselves, but that WE are to set all of creation free
from this present death. Let me ask you, are you tired of seeing all the
children suffering starvation, sex trafficked, and aborted in many countries of
the world? Then you are the right candidate that God is looking for to set
creation free.
And
if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled
men (for by what he saw and heard that
righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul
tormented day after day by their lawless deeds). 2 Peter 2:7-8 (NASU)
If
this verse explains your heart toward all the sin and violence that is going on
in our world, God wants to set you free of death, to set the world free. A
drowning man cannot save a downing man, first we must be delivered, then we can
deliver the world. We must believe for it, hope for it in great expectation of
faith to see the world set free.
Rick
Joyner has had a prophetic word for our day, "To infinity and beyond." This means that we can live
and expect to receive anything that we can believe for. I don’t know about you,
but I cannot think of anything greater to believe for than to receive the
fullness of Jesus and to set creation free. You are God’s chosen one!
